At the bottom of this page:

there is a phone number to call for information on having Mr. Met at your gathering.

I'm a huge mets fan (HUGE) and I would never, ever have wanted Mr. Met at our wedding.

I don't care how egotistical it sounds, but our wedding day was about US, not a bobble-headed mascot. I'd rather spend that kind of money on really awesome tickets or some sort of private tour / mets-related event.

Re: Mr. Met at your wedding..

@ SpringSandra...

That's ok, to each his own...This is something I wanted to do for my wedding. FH likes the Mets, and this is something I know that would be an added bonus to the day.

Thanks for the reply..

They told me that it's an hour but that he needs to get into costume which takes 15 minutes so his face time at the party is really only 45 minutes.

Regardless, it was a lot more than I had expected to pay.

But this quote was from the beginning of last season, when there was promise. Wait until like July to sign your contract and you can probably get a discount since they're bound to mess up (and yes, I'm a huge Mets fan...just a realistic one!)

Re: Mr. Met at your wedding..

Also to the OP...if the price is out of range for you, consider getting a Mr. Met groom's cake!

This idea just made me think of the 30th birthday suprise I threw FH. I had a Elvis impersonator, but had I known about Mr. Met, i would have booked him for his 30th!!! Maybe I'll do it as a suprise this year or next. Actually, I think I'll suprise him with Mr. Met at our RD.

I really wanted Mr. Met- but FH didnt want him. He didnt want to spend $500 to have a 'cartoon character' at our wedding for an hour.

Re: Mr. Met at your wedding..

I hired him for DH's 30th birthday....he was a RIOT!
If anything, I would recommend having him come to the reception because he dances and is ALOT of fun Try to find the youtube video of Mr. Met at an Indian wedding- hilarious.

At DH's birthday, the pictures were fantastic and we had such a great time- he was worth the price.

Re: Mr. Met at your wedding..

FH wanted Mr. Met at our wedding but i could not justify spending $500 for 45 minutes. Instead i'm surprising him with a Mr. Met head groom's cake at the reception.
