my envelopes are not staying closed!

my envelopes are not staying closed!

They simply are not closing. I even have books sitting on top to keep them closed. i am getting very frustrated. I feel so incredibly overwhelmed, that i can't handle on more thing to go wrong. i think i may cry.

Do you ladies, have any suggestions? FH said all the glue may have been rubbed off, so we should get double sided tape. ...that would be wonderful

you can buy a glue stick at a stationary store or a craft store.

What about stickers? Like nice ones that somehow match or if I can explain this properly, the kind of seal stickers? At least if you have something closing it at one point it should be ok. Otherwise, I'd head over to Michaels and grab a glue stick, or maybe they can suggest something even easier! HTH!

I've gotten invites with little stickers on the back to keep them shut. They sell those at Michaels.

Call the place you got them from and tell them you want new ones FED EXed tomorrow!!! For the money you paid, they should be right!

You should try to get new ones. If they don't send you new ones try the glue stick. We had that problem with a few E-envelopes and that seem to work with out the mess.

FH asked me if we should call our invite lady. i am at the edge of a breakdown, so i think i am going to let him handle it. we may just get glue or something like the other ladies mentioned.

I don't know if i am assertive enough to ask for new envelopes.

what about doing a seal of some sort on them....they have wax ones or stickers. they are really cute.

i agree!
but if you don't try the stickers (they are pretty) and maybe a wax seal but that would be my last resort!
you are entitled to envelopes that close and i don't think u will have a problem getting them--don't feel funny just ask!

I used a glue stick for my STD envelopes and it worked WONDERFULLY!

The same thing happened to me. We used Elmer's gluestick and it worked wonders! The envelopes were sealed nice and tight.

They also make a glue 'tape' - it's just like the white out tape, only it is glue. I used it on my STDs and they came out great - no one will no it's there!! You can buy it at Michaels / AC Moore in the scrapbooking section

I used sticker seals for the back of my invites, I was afraid of them opening during their travels!! It worked out great!

My invite lady told me not to lick the envelopes at all but to use a glue stick so they stay shut but people won't shred them when they open them. It worked beautifully and I'm rec that to all my friends who are getting married- maybe it a good thing that the glue was bad! Stickers work too but the glue sticks are cheaper!

I received a pocket fold invite that was sealed and had a sticker and it was all messed up when I opened it! Good luck!!
