NWR: Fake Uggs from VS

So I ordered my new pair of uggs from VS a couple weeks ago, becasue I noticed they carried them, and according to the official Ugg website, they are an authorized retailer. i figured i would order it from VS so I could build points on my card and I had a free shipping code.

So anyway they come and I immediately feel like soemthing's off. I thought the color seemed off, the fabric felt weird and the boot overall felt lighter. Anywas I figured it couldn't be fake becasue I got it from a legit retailer and maybe this is just how they were making them now.

fast foward to yesterday when my FSIL brought her new pair home in the same color as mine...The difference is ridiculous! I knew right away mine were fake. So I called up Ugg and they very willingly allowed me to return the pair I have directly to them and will send me a new one. They did not have an explanantion, but just agreed to exchange them.

However, I'm still really bothered by this becasue I feel like both companies are in on it. How can an authorized retailer sell a knock off and at retail!! And when I got home I looked at the box more carefully and noticed there was a sticker on the box that said Made in China! Genuine Uggs are only from Australia!

I feel like filing a complaint with the BBB or something.
Sorry it's so long but just in case you girls were considering buying from an online auth retailer, just skip it and go directly to the Ugg site or a legit retail store!

wow, I had no idea Victorias Secret was selling fake Uggs! Thats insane that they are ripping customers off like that.

thats INSANE. i would just get a complete refund and file a complaint with corporate. (see if u can get something more out of it eheh)

but uggs are now made in china cuz they are very popular. they stopped making them in australia a few yrs ago.

That's horrible!!

Is it possible that they are real Uggs but maybe just with different sheepskin?? It's possible that there may be subtle variations in the fabric. But again..subtle is the key word...if the boot is completely different then I would be very concerned.

Uggs are no longer made in Australia. due to the high demand, they are all made in China.

I order one pair from them and they are same as my friends she got hers from Ugg!!!!!!!!!!

I'm def going to contact VS and see what they say. However if it is true that all Uggs are now made in China, I probably don't have much of a case. I'm still gonna try though cause its inconveniencing and I have to pay return shipping now

Thats crazy. I was going to buy a pair off VS too!!.
You know? UGG maybe wanted you to send your boots directly to them because they are gonna pull VS off their list of authorized dealers!! I have heard of this before ...not with UGG & VS in particular thou
