NWR:Verdi's of Whitestone?
Did anyone have any parties like birthday, showers etc at Verdi's and would they know how much they charge per plate?

Re: NWR:Verdi's of Whitestone?
My sister is getting married in May and I have done research on Showers in Queens. Verdis is not one the places I looked at, but I had my Sweet 16 there and my sister had a graduation party there. From what I can remember everything was perfect:Giardinos on Little Neck parkway: For showers their private rooms hold max 40 people. You can have the main dining room for a party of 50 or more, but only on Saturday 12-4. They can do a brunch buffet in the main dining room for a minimum of 50 ppl. breakfast and lunch foods are served. Unlimited beer and wine, $45pp+t&t. Any sit-down menus they have are minimum 45pp. By far the best food and service - but they are also very pricey
The White House in Whitestone - buffet for parties of 60 or more. $33pp, $36 w/ beer and wine. Choose from 7 different chafing dishes plus salad and a carving station. Parties of 50 or more get private room downstairs. They also have a very reasonable package for a sit-down lunch. they have a big white wicker chair that can be used. Price is for a 4-hour time slot.
Donovans of Bayside (near LIRR): Approx $30/pp for sit-down or buffet incl. unlimited beer wine and soda. Only 3 hours for the event (everywhere else gives you 4). I personally feel the menu is limited.
Monahan and Fitzgeralds (across from Donovans): Bridal Package - $24pp. Does not include alcohol but they can open a few bottles of wine and open a tab. They have a champagne punch unlimited. I've been to their upstairs room and I think it can fit 40 comfortably. Anything more than that could get cramped. And there is not ladies' room upstairs.

Verdi's sounds like a nice option. I'm probably going with Riccardo's by the Bridge $27 pp person with unlimited beer and wine, includes chair and decorations.

any neighborhood in particular you'd rather have it in. Most of the places I mentioned are in Astoria, howard beach, bayside, whitestone. Giardino's is in Douglaston, which actually theres also douglaston manor too so forgot that one. And The waterfront crabhouse is in LIC, the food here is AMAZING, i had my RD here and DH and I go there all the time, its even where he officially asked me out lol. Also while some of the choices in astoria are Italian places, some places are greek restaurants

I was looking for Whitestone because i have alot of family coming from the Bronx. My mom and aunt will be hosting my shower so i want to find something that is relatively affordable for them.
