Wedding Cake Ganache Question?
I saw the thread where they were talking about fondant as a cake frosting but what about ganache? Has anyone tasted it? I was thinking of having chocolate ganache on the outside. Its something different and I love chocolate!!! Any tips?Kim

Re: Wedding Cake Ganache Question?
As far as I am concerned nothing chocalate could possibly be bad.
I would talk to a baker about it. The Chocolate might tend to melt quicker then frosting or fondant.

Re: Wedding Cake Ganache Question?
Yes it's possible!!!That's what I'm doing. I love chocolate and I'm getting married in the fall so I thought it would go with the theme. Plus it's a little different.

Re: Wedding Cake Ganache Question?
ganache is just chocolate with cream and butter... it is made into liquid and allowed to chill and turns into a sort of icing...that is also what truffles are made out of. How can you go wrong with that combo???

Re: Wedding Cake Ganache Question?
I love ganache! I don't think it sets very well though. It is usually somewhat thin and can be drippy in the heat. I don't know if there is a way to make it so it's more solid.Welcome New Vendors
