Wedding @ Smith Point State Park???

Yet another idea that was brought to our attention was getting married at a beach. We are looking at a few on both the north and south shore but really prefer the south right on the ocean.... Has anyone ever gone to such at Smiths Point? What did you think of it? Personally I have never been to a simple beach wedding and have no idea what to expect...or where to begin. I have contacted the Parks Department but they could not really give me much inforamtion.

I started down that path - we wanted to do something different, not the typical wedding factory...thought a beach would be a great idea. But, I found it difficult to find a place that would allow the wedding, and once you have that, organizing the logistics and all the little details was too much to handle (I'm planning from CA). We ended up at Land's End and we're thrilled with our choice. Good luck in your search!
