Re: wishing well theme?

What do you mean by a wishing well theme? I threw a shower for my sister and I had a wishing well, is that what you are referring too? People brought gifts from her registry and then little gifts for the wishing well, like paper towels, spoons etc...

Re: wishing well theme?

I have seen this link the other day

Stock the Pantry: Have each guest write their favorite recipe on a recipe card and bring the card along with all non-perishable ingredients for the recipe in a box or gift basket.

Alphabet theme: Assign everyone a letter & they need to get something with that letter

Tool and Gadget Party: Guests are asked to bring a 'tool' or 'gadget' to the party. Guests should bring things such as hammers, a rake, shovel, flashlights, clock..This is truly for the man!

These are just a few!

Re: wishing well theme?

Favorite gizmos and gadgets galore,
You have several dozen, but still could use more.
If you could bring just one of these,
Our bride to be you sure would please.
So wrap it up pretty and be sure to tell
It's just a little something to wish her well.

Re: wishing well theme?

ive seen the alphabet theme...

or assign the guest a part of the house.. have them bring something small for that room...

or a time of the day.. bring a gift that the bride will need in the house for that time??

themes are good b.c you get something different from everyone (hopefully)

Re: wishing well theme?

I went to my friends shower and instead of them doing a wishing well, in the invitation they handed out a recipe card. You would fill out a recipe you would like to share and you bring it with you to the shower. Whomever in the family would collect the recipe cards and put it in a recipe box for her to use. I thought it was a cute idea...

Re: wishing well theme?

You can do month of the year theme- everyone is assigned a month and you have to buy things that represent that time of year.

Re: wishing well theme?

These are all great ideas!!! (conigs25 - hint, hint - just kidding! ).

I've also seen a 'NIGHT IN' theme where people bring just things required for a night in - popcorn, sncaks, ice cream dishes, blockbuster cards, etc.
