North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
Hi Everyone! My fiancé and I are trying to decide whether to choose the North Ritz Club or the Inn at New Hyde Park for either a March or June wedding (we are teachers and are trying to plan the wedding around vacation time). Does anyone have any advice in either direction? I've been to a wedding at the North Ritz and thought it was very nice. I've never been to the Inn. Any reviews or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

This is all hear say but I've heard the inn is kind of like a factory, like a mass production of weddings. They have a lot of weddings going on at once and it can get chaotic. This is from my mom who went to a wedding there for a girl we know. She did say it was gorgeous though!

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
I'm a little biased but The Inn at New Hyde Park is genuinely breathtaking. They only do one wedding at a time, but I think North Ritz does that too! North Ritz had a big spacious room for cocktail hour, but Inn at NHP has the tuscany cocktail room that's really unique, and the back terrace is gorgeous. I felt like North Ritz ballroom was a little dark for my liking, but otherwise both gorgeous places. Good luck!

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
I've also heard the same of the New Hyde Park Inn being more of a wedding factory, but then again, I guess I'm biased because I'm having my reception at the North Ritz. One of the main factors of choosing North Ritz was the fact that it is only one wedding at a time, so all attention will be on us. Also, they have one of the best menus I've seen. We are getting married during peak season, 7pm on a Saturday night, so they would not budge on the minimum guarantee or the price per head (they were a little over our budget), but they did give us freebies with the menu. I'm definetly happy with my choice.

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
I am getting married at The Inn at NHP and my FSIL and FBIL had their wedding at NRC. Both places are very nice but I am biased in choosing the Inn. They only do ONE wedding at a time but they do have another room for 1 other event (not wedding) if need be. If there is an event the same night as your wedding NOONE from that event except you and your guests are allowed past a certain point in the RH so there is no way you will even know it is going on. (If you see the layout of the Inn you will know what I am talking about). The inn at the tuscany cocktail room upstairs that is so unique and amazing. Both NRC and Inn are very nice. The inn is a little more upscale IMO since it was newly renovated but that does come at a price! I would go look at both places and see which you fall in love with best HTH & GL!

Thanks for the input everyone! I am still so torn. We've visited both and see the pros and cons of each. Did everyone find making this decision so difficult or am I just totally indecisive??

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
We were married at NRC and it was amazing
It was everything we could ask for... big open ballroom, great cocktail hour space, good food, only one wedding at a time, which was super important to us. It just really gave us the vibe we were looking for, plus the price was right!
Their outdoor space is pretty nice too - if you do a June wedding, they have a really nice patio and outdoor bar too. We ended up taking a lot of our photos at Old Westbury Gardens (not too far from there), but ALL of our family photos were at NRC and they came out nice.
Feel free to check out my pics for how it looks all dressed u!

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
The Inn at New Hyde Park does only one wedding at a time. I also visited the North Ritz Club, and while I thought it was lovely, The Inn was where I saw us celebrating our marriage. I am a theatrical person and there is definitely a sense of drama from the moment your guests walk in the door. The parlour is beautiful with the mahogany on the walls, the fireplace and the grand piano. Then guests are literally transported to a little Tuscan piazza in the Tuscany room, and when it's time to enter the ballroom, there is yet another dramatic change and I found it all to be breathtaking. We are getting married right before Christmas and I also fell in love with the decorations. But there is also the beautiful outdoor area if you're a summer bride.Bottom line, I just felt more comfortable there and couldn't see myself anywhere else! Best of luck with making a decision!
I should also add that the initial reason we went to see the North Ritz Club was because my parents had been to a wedding there and they thought it was very well done - so you would definitely be in good hands there as well!

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
i looked at the Inn at NHP and really liked it. I especially liked Frank the owner, thought he was so sweet. We ended up not choosing it bc we didn't like that it was right on Jericho Tpke, and also they had no Sat nights in March 2013 available. Gorgeous place though!I have never been to North Ritz Club but have heard good things.

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
I just got married at the Inn on March 31st. It is only 1 wedding at a time. I cannot say one bad comment about our day. They were on top of everything and people told us it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and this is largely because of the inn's attention to detail and the delcious food. The Inn definitely knows what they are doing. Nothing {that I know of} went wrong and I just felt like everyone I was dealing with there was really a pro.I have been to the NRC but I didnt think that it was as impressive. We really wanted the vintage, old world feel and ballroom and the Inn had what we were looking for. I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding no matter where you decide, but you definitely cannot go wrong with the Inn. Hope this helps!

Re: North Ritz vs. Inn at New Hyde Park????
NRC all the way!! Their level of service cannot be beat. They give you food you would find in a top steakhouse while other places have been known to skimp out. I liked the idea of real filet mignon, not chateau brind which is the cheaper version.
