1st holiday as a married couple....
And I didn't even get a card....the 'Easter Bunny' came for him with a basket full of fun stuff....me, not so much. I guess this means I will just go on a shopping spree with his debit card??

We never exchanged Easter gifts.Honestly, I know with my DH you need to tell him if you plan on doing gifts for anything. He always asks me 'Are we doing Valentine's Day gifts?' or 'Am I supposed to get you something for 'this holiday'?' Normally, I just say no.

Re: 1st holiday as a married couple....
While we have never exchanged gifts/cards on easter I do understand how you could feel down about not getting a card if it is something you guys have historically done.

Re: 1st holiday as a married couple....
I'm Jewish so obviously Easter is not an issue for me but sometimes things do change when you get married or over the course of your relationship. I'd suggest bringing it up to him and telling him you are upset, communicating about your expectations is a MUCH better (and more mature) way to handle it than using his debit card (which would probably make him furious--I know it would make me furious)!

Re: 1st holiday as a married couple....
I think for like 90% of guys... you need to let them know what you're expecting. they aren't mind readers.so what's coming up next? whatever holiday you usually celebrate like that (or have before)....
'hun... i want to exchange memorial day/4th of july/labor day/ halloween presents/cards with you k? its fun to get presents.'
guys are idiots and/or they just don't care about that stuff.
again.
my husband bought me a snuggie for xmas.
after i've talked about how stupid they are for 3 years, etc.
so... i'm sort of over the whole gift giving thing.
if i want something i buy it for myself or tape pictures of it on the mirror saying 'next present please.'
