A friend of mine & his brother who worked for FDNY were both killed. My DH was there w/NYSP for the rescue & relief efforts...I am so proud of him for what he gave that whole week to help others from that horrible tragedy...

My sister's friend, Patricia “Trish” Cimaroli-Masari was on the 98th floor. She was 25 years old & had just found out that morning that she was pregnant.
RIP Trish & RIP my sister.

A friend's father was on the plane that hit the Pentagon.

My mother works 5 blocks from ground zero and narrowly missed being in the path station when the planes hit. She was one of the dirty, covered in ash walking around lost in downtown trying to get home. This day more than any day I remember, that despite the issues I have with her, I almost lost her that day and I love her so much.
