a little vent and some idea help

So DH is turning 30 3/19 and our one year anniversary is 3/27. Iam trying to think of a great gift..I decided I was getting him a laptop since his is on its last legs. I e-mailed his brother to see if I should get a regular laptop or a macbook. Well I get an e-mail back saying he bought him a laptop today. This is the same brother that bought him the groupon for the laps in the exotic car in englishtown (which was my big finale gift to him of his 25 days to x-mas) and a vintage JOhn Deere money clip when I had gotten him a plain stanless steel one like he asked ME for...

so now that I am done with my rant..What should I get him????

That's annoying that he got the gift you were going to get! Depending on how much you were going to spend on the laptop, can you use that money to:

1) Book a trip for you two? Maybe New Orleans or Miami or Vegas or something? Depending on which laptop you were going to spend for, this might equal out to be the same.

2) Are there any other electronics he's really been keeping his eye on? New TV? Game station? Surround sound?

ugh, i understand your frustration though - that's super annoying

Thanks girls!!! You guys have the best ideas! I just bought him a 'love book' since I got him one for our wedding and first anniversary is 'paper' I am going to look into a weekend getaway maybe but not too far bc he cant take off from work.. I am going to quote out bpics or if you guys have any FM me.

There are some great deals to Vegas right now for the weekends that are coming up. Or go skiing for a weekend? Or Mexico. All of that is on sale right now!

Ugh how annoying!!!

For DH's 30th I planned a weekend for the both of us, we stayed at The London in NYC, went to see Jersey Boys and ate at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant in our hotel. Then we went for a couple's massage the next day. Maybe you could do something like that for him?

I also gave him b-pics
