A sad, sad time for my in-laws and DH
Unfortunately, FIL's brother was stubborn and after 2 doctors in NY told him not have a certain surgery, when he got better in NY (in ILs were taking care of him) and FIL got diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, he went back to Florida. FIL's brother booked the surgery with the doctors down in Florida and unfortunately was not strong enough, just as the doctors in NY had told him (sorry if this is confusing).On Saturday we were on the phone back and forth with the doctors and then finally Uncle Nick passed away. We were on the first flight on Sunday and the funeral was Monday. My heart is broken! DH had to stay in FL with his parents until Friday because FIL got his identity stolen early last week and shut down all his credit cards. DH and I had to pay for the flights, hotel, and rental car (plus misc) for us, his parents, and sister. It's just one thing after another lately and I just hope that things start to turn around for this family.
May Uncle Nick RIP! We love you and miss you! You were like a second father and best friend to DH and I hope he finds peace in knowing that you are no longer suffering (he had a lot of kidney problems).
