Amazon registry question
Hello!Sorry to bother you guys with a wedding related question, I know some of you might not want to talk weddings anywmore! I thought I saw someone post a wedding review that included an amazon wedding registry, and at the time I skipped over it because I didn't think I'd register with amazon. But now that I am in the process of registering, I want to register with amazon--they have everything, and things that they don't have at say, BBB (obviously.)
I think it was someone on the 2010 board who posted the review...just wondering if registering with amazon was a good idea or not! I didn't even know you could register with them until I saw it in someone's review.
Thanks girls!!

Re: Amazon registry question
i think you're talking about me ....
i wasn't happy that i registered at amazon ...
-- can't see what you're getting in person until you already own it
-- a lot of people like buying stuff in an actual store as opposed to online (cause they buy last-minute lol)
we only got a small handful of amazon gifts ... i much preferred BB&B

Ah, so maybe it's really not worth it then...lol I really want it for one item in particular that I can't find anywhere but there (the scooba robot floor cleaner) and was just thinking of adding some other random items. But I can see a lot of people not wanting to shop online too that aren't computer savvy.
Thanks!

Re: Amazon registry question
I registered with amazon and tried to encourage people to use it because over $25 most things ship free... esp since my family was out of state.most people didn't use it. a lot of the relatives my mom's age and over just didn't want to order off the web. they wanted to walk into a physical store.
most people used my BBB reg.
oh well!

just a piece of advice: do your research about the scoobss ... i know the roomba's are pretty awful (read the reviews ... they all start out as 5 stars and then six months later, people add updates of the roombas breaking)

Yeah I have a lot of older folk, and I bet they'd rather go to BBB for gifts
Plus, I know BBB has those 20% off coupons all the time, which I bet will make most people want to go there anyway.
Thank you!

Damn! Yeah I read a few reviews of people having them and loving them, but I didn't see the updates of them breaking...those things are expensive, I'd be so pissed if someone bought me that and spent all that money and it stopped working.
I guess I should look a little more....I hate to mop

Re: Amazon registry question
I considered it a lot because of the 'universal' aspect, but if you are interested in that idea, you could do a wish registry? We are using www.uponourstar.com and so far, so good.It let us add all kinds of stuff and you are right, the younger folks use it more than the grandmas- but that is why I too, have a BB&B and Macys one too! But I love that we can add pretty much anything, from anywhere- including our honeymoon (and furniture!)
