any ipod geniuses out there???

my ipod doesn't like to work after I take it off my doc. it won't let me navigate to my playlists. it won't shut off either, so it drains the whole battery. after a while, the buttons will work again, and ive noticed this happens when i use the ipod radio. anyone ever have this problem????

fairly brand new...i got it for christmas. ima be pizzed if it dies.

i didn't get it from apple though, i know it was bought of amazon, can i still take it to an apple store and have them diagnosis it?

that happened to me once ...

i don't remember the exact combination but if you press two buttons simultaneously, it does a hard-reboot and then it'll start working again.

i THINK you just press and hold the 'off' button (at the very top) for a few seconds ...

that'll reset the ipod (you won't lose your files / apps), but some settings may reset to default.

Hold down the Menu button on the clickwheel and the center button at the same time. Hold these together for 6-10 seconds. This should restart the iPod video. You’ll know the iPod is restarting when the screen changes and the Apple logo appears.
