Wow. I can't believe how many other past brides have been in a similiar situation. It just boggles my mind how people dont bring a card!

we have that with a gm one of dh best friends who lives across the street from his moms house...after 10 months we lost hope

my moh didnt give me anything!!!
but im not mad at her about it. she has no idea what a moh is supposed to do. she probably thinks that since she bought my gown help paid for my shower that was enough

totally agreed...and Id like to add people are weird and do strange things!!! Ive never went to a wedding empty headed, close or not close to the couple

Ok i know its weird but honestly if she was your MOH i think you are close enough to probably brin git up. Ask her because maybe it go tlost or something.

if she mentioned that she has a year to give you two a gift, it can go two ways: she is saving up some money for your gift and reminds herself each day that she has to give you one or 2. she is going to wait it out long enough with the hopes that you will forget
hopefully she has it in the back of her mind to get you and gift and is working on it! maybe you can pass a remark that relates to it, something like 'we are trying to save our wedding money for a house' or something like that to bring up the topic to see what she says!
