'Beachy' Restaurant?

I want to take a couple of friends out for their Bdays next week and I think they'd both like to do something 'Beachy.'

I asked one of them about Paddy McGees and she said she's not a fan, so that's out.

Any other recommendations? I'm coming from Queens, so I don't mind a bit of a drive, but not too much, like no more than 45 minutes or so.

I'd love to go to a place on the water...

Thanks!

Both ladies are very generous and I've known them for years, so I don't mind spending maybe around $100 on each.

I don't know about fancy, but definitely 'nice.' We'd prob want to wear sundresses or something.

Re: 'Beachy' Restaurant?

You can try the Allegria in LB- its on the boardwalk side, so like 2 miles past my house.

The upstairs has a restuarant on the fancier side, but the downstairs bar/resturant has high tables and they open the doors so you're literally right on the boardwalk in front of the ocean.

edited: those huge glass pannel doors are open on non-rainy nights in the summer.

Or maybe captain bill's in BayShore? It may be too far east, but its right in the marina.

I second this one... My bestie got married here and we all had dinner a few months before to try out the food, and it was really good! I loved the atmosphere - definitely elegant. A little pricey, but for a special occassion, we were happy to be there.
