Bridal Shower gameplan - need opinions
I mentioned earlier in the week that I am headed to boston-area on Saturday for a bridal shower. I'm a bridesmaid but the bride's mom's friends are hosting/running the bridal shower show (holler) and wouldn't accept any of our offers for help.Anyhow, my initial plan was to drive up solo and back and spend a few hours.
Turns out, one of my friends is driving up solo with her baby and I'm going to jump in with her. Thing is, she wants to leave exactly 2 hours in (starts @ 11:30 and she wants to be OUT by 1:30 because of the baby). This works SO perfectly for me! She wants to drive her car bc of the baby seat, etc.
Do you think it is bad/wrong/rude of my to leave after 2 hours as a bridesmaid?
A few notes:
One of the bridesmaids is totally not able to join bc she is away with her husband
The bride was a BM in my wedding and wasn't able to join at my shower bc she was travelling for work
It is a 4 hour drive so despite leaving early, we will be in the car from 8am and not home until 6pm

I think it's totally ok for you to leave 2 hours in, ESP since your ride has to leave then too.Actually, chances are, you won't leave EXACTLY 2 hours in unless the mommy is a total stickler for time. Is any mommy though??
Yeah, so the fact that you're coming in for her shower is extremely nice of you and I think it's perfectly fine for you to leave early.

I think its fine since you're coming from so far away- its way better than you not going at all!

ITA - one of my BM's drove from DC for my shower & my bachelorette party and was only able to stay for a few hours but it meant the world to me that she would do that, so I think you should go for it!

I agree with the other girls. I think it's totally fine to come for 2 hours and then drive back. If your a BM she knows you have a lot going on with school right now. She'll be happy you made it for 5 minutes or 2 hours.Welcome New Vendors
