I stayed at the K&K hotel in the Saint Germain de Pres area- a really NICE area and it was right across the street from the metro and walking distance to the Louvre, D'Orsay and Tuileries gardens. Awesome. It was also next to a gas station (you'd never notice it) which had a store so we stocked up on goodies, wine and water etc.

Ive never been in a hotel in Europe that WASNT tiny- gotta admit it was small. But it was super clean, the concierge staff were amazingly helpful, free wifi, & free computers downstairs with printers, free breakfast (DH wasnt crazy about the breakfast but I stuffed my face with croissants and nutella every morning and was thrilled!)
