Car Buying Question

Has anyone ever went to lease a new car but had a car to trade in ? Did the dealer match what you owed on your loan??

I have a lease that is due up tomm and I still havent decided if I should buy it out or lease a new car. I would like to buy it and keep it for another year or 2 but I want to be sure that when I go to lease a new car in a year or so, they will give me what I owe on my loan. Anyone have experience with this ?

Re: Car Buying Question

there is no guarantee that you will get what you owe on your trade in. usually the dealer gives you less for a trade in than you would get if you sold it privately.

i know from experience if you are financing a car and they dont give you the whole loan amount, then can add it to your new loan.
for example if you owe 10K and your new car is 30K and the dealer gives you 7K for your trade in....your new loan would be 33K.
