connecticut school of broadcasting westbury

Does anyone know about this school? Is it a scam? My husband went for a tour and audition the other night and really liked it. He got invited back. It's a 16 week program. They have studios set up there. There was a list of alumni and a list of where their graduating students find work and it was an extensive list.

He is reading some negative things about it online. It's something he has always been interested in doing and has experience with all of the equipment through DJing and podcasts. This would be an amazing way to get into the industry, but it's not cheap, so we're trying to figure out if it's a scam.

Anyone know anything about it?

A guy that I'm still friendly with from high school went there and is now working for channel 12

Thanks. We saw that too...but have also heard from some people that went there that it's good and all what you make of it. I was curious if anyone here knew anyone that went there. I don't know if it's worth the risk with all those scams that come up.

I'm pretty sure z100 advertises for them so I'm thinking it must be legit.

It might be legitimate, but that doesn't mean it's good. I'd check to see what associations the school is recognized by; if they are nationally known, respected associations (within the broadcasting world), I'd say to go for it!
