Eating Wedding Cake After a year

For those 1+ year newlyweds, did you eat your cake and how did it taste? Ours was surprisingly AMAZING! I didn't actually get a piece at our wedding so this was really the most I had of it! We were shocked it kept!

If anyone is wondering, our secret was just keeping it really airtight in our freezer (saran wrapped 10x) and we defrosted it 24 hours before in the fridge.

Congratulations on your first anniversary!!!

Thanks for the cake update - ours is wrapped up TIGHT so I'm hoping we have the same experience as you guys bc I didn't really get a chance to indulge/enjoy our cake as much as I would have liked!

Re: Eating Wedding Cake After a year

Ours is not wrapped AT ALL I'm expecting the worst!

After the wedding we slept at the hotel and left for the airport right from there, so I had my MOH put the cake in our freezer while we were away.

Well, it's been sitting there ever since, never opened, never attempted to wrap it. Should be interesting
