ewwww

DH just got home and was knocking on our front door like a mad man...so i go to let him in and he tells me there is 4 racoons chilling under my car...

so my car is in the drive way and we go to the side door and turn the light on! they are just staring at us thru the sliding glass door!! its soo creepy!

we turned my car alarm on to scare them away and finally they ran into the back yard! ewwwww!!

does anyone have any way to get rid of them?? we have never seen racoons in our area since we moved here and im just soo grossed out! i work nights a few nights a week and now im going to be afraid to get out of my car to go in my house!

i dont think there is a way of getting rid of them other than... killing them...

Ditto. We get them in our neighborhood a lot, especially because the LIRR tracks are at the end of my block. Just make sure your garbage can lids are on tight. Though they chewed THROUGH mine!

Better yet, keep your garbage in your garage or somewhere they can't get to it. There is now way of getting rid of them, but the less access they have to food the less likely they will stick around. We have tons around here.

Not to scare you more but there has been a lot of rabies issues on LI lately so if you see one during the day stay away from it.

my sis had a racoon prob and when we called 311 they said they would give us the traps but we had to handle them ourselves

she ended up having to call someone and it cost tem money..they were living in her garage and they were breeding

ugh!! well this is the first time ive seen them around us!!

they didnt even go near our garbage which was weird, they were under my car!! then was staring at us thru our slidign glass door, and then ran to the back yard!! i hope they realize they are not getting any food at our house and wont come back! but to see 4 of them together staring at us was sooo creepy!

i had dreams about those ugly things!
