Feel soo bad!!!

Today is my niece's (one of my FG's) birthday. She's 7. She woke up with full blown head lice this morning. I can't even go see her

teachers what do you do? she must have picked it up at school last week... what's to say she won't get it again if she goes back tomorrow?!

i think they will have to let the school know and then they will have to check everyone's head at school

i remember someone in my class had it in like 3rd grade and everyone had to get checked. luckily the there was only one girl that had it, so it musta been from like family, and not peers at school! ha ha

yeah my sister got a 'heads' up from one of the moms... the mom called my sister at like 9pm last night to let her know that her daughters have it. my niece was already asleep so she didn't check her til this morning. poor baby.

ITA! She probably won't be going back to school tomorrow. Gonna have to take everything to the laundromat and wash/dry in highest heat the clothes will take. Put all stuffed animals in plastic bags and tie tight to suffocate anything on there or throw them out. I had it when I was in 4th grade and was the only one in my house. It'll only pass onto you if your hair touches hers. They don't jump. There's also a spray to spray down the mattress and anything like that.

Def let the school know and they will check all the kids..my neices and nephews went through it when some kids had it last year...

I'm pretty sure u can buy that shampoo rid..it should be in drug stores and that will get the lice..

I hope ur neice feels better and happy birthday to her!!!

Her mom has to call the school and let them know... they will have to shampoo the rugs and have all the students in her class checked.

That stinks that you can't go see her on her birthday!

yes! you have to inform the school so they can check all the kids. it's pretty bad. my SIL is a teacher and they have constant lice checks and send kids home for it.

it stinks!! but she says the kids don't even care.

oh and they only send kids home if they see bugs... not the eggs. if they just have eggs they let them stay! which is stupid to me. eggs or bugs... you have lice and need treatment.
