For those of you who threw rose petals...
I've heard conflicting reports over whether they can/do stain dresses. Did any of you notice and stains from the rose petal toss? I was going to use silk, but then my florist told me real will not stain. I would prefer to use the real thing, but I definitely don't want red stains on my gown.

I didnt have any stains on my gown and we used real red petals.I think if you really mash your dress into the petals, they can stain...but that would only be on the hem which gets dirty anyway.

We used multi colored rose petals and there was no staining. They just fall right off your dress, they don't stick there and get mushed in. If it rained, I might be worried...

I just want to add that my sister used rose petals and it rained that day and they did stain her dress. BUT, her limo driver told us to put vodka on the stain and sure enough, it was completely gone! So, just in case, there's a remedy for you!

We used them and no stains. A few went down the front of my dress, but that was a whole other issue!

I had red rose petals and I did get a very slight stain on the top of my train - my dress had a organza overlay and tiny stains on the hem from stepping on the petal and the train passing over them. The stains were not noticeable by anyone. I only saw them when I was closely examining my dress prior to getting it clean/preserved. The stains did seem to come out, though.
