For those of you who were interested in the shirtaki noodles w/pics!!!
I made the shirataki noodles last friday...I used the fettuccine style and when you 1st open the package there is a heavy fish smell which I assume is from the liquid that its in. I drained it and rinsed in water. I then boiled the noodles for 3 min with some vinegar to cut any residual smell. I I cooked the noodles asian style. I used 2 chicken breasts marinated in soy sauce, mushrooms, yellow & orange bell peppers, garlic, ginger and a little sesame oil. I cooked all the ingredients until fully cooked. I cooked the noodles in the sesame oil for a couple of min and you will hear it pop. I then combined it all. The final result was delicious and only about 600 calories but it was 2 meals worth. The noodles are a bit chewy but really good. They basically absorbed all the flavors of the ingredients.

Yummy! To make life easier for you, I just rinse and drain them in a collendar in the sink for a few minutes. Then I microwave them for 2 minutes. Drain them again and microwave them one more time. I dont use vinegar or anything and they are just fine!
I actually eat one entire bag with dinner...i spray a bit of the butter spray on top, sometimes I also use some fat free or reduced fat cheese tos pice it up a bit. I cut up my veggie for dinner (usuall6y broccoli or asparagus) and mix it all together and eat as my side dish!
