for those that officially changed their name

do you still get a tingly feeling inside when you see your new name?

i changed my name officially as soon as i got back from HM in may...but i just changed it at work and on my work email, so i see it alot now and it makes me smile

ETA: Though my signature looks like crap. I need to work on that.

omg. this!!!

now that im in 'transition' with the name change at work, i am always unsure of how to answer the phone

i used to say 'this is janis p___'

but now im just like 'uhh...this is janis'

hahaha

I'm legally hypenating Nov. 1st. We did get joint bank accounts w/it already though and it's weird.

What is SUPER funny is my last name is, er... was Scott and they accidentally call DH Scott instead of Steve all the time lol.

Yes when I met new people I'm like 'I'm Marie P____ I mean Marie S________________' people look at me like I don;t know my name

i still do lol. i think it looks funny. i finally got really used to writing it a lot but then randomly i would write my old one and get super confused lol

I got my new SS card and license in the mail the other day...I just feel weird about it. Its so official, there's no more Ilana Frome...I actually have been having a little bit of trouble with it. I feel like I've given up a part of my identity

I don't think I'll ever get used to my new last name. I sorta hate it. Growing up, I hated my old last name, but now I def miss it.

YES!!! The best is when I pull out my driver license for whatever, and my old one is underneath it, I feel like I have to explain myself lol

Someone just said my name in a meeting today and I didnt answer them, they looked at me like I had 3 heads... I still forget I am Kristen F! Its so strange to me still!
