*Friday's NWQOTD*
Men often joke that women have their weddings planned out since they were a kid and only need a groom to complete the scenario. Was that true for you? Did you think of your wedding when you were young? And did your real life wedding incorporate any of that?

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
Mine definitely did. And the funniest thing was that a year before DH and I met, I helped my aunt move from Chicago to NY. When We were driving back we were jokingly talking about what our dream weddings would be like and she goes, 'I bet you have yours all planned out' (which I did, I'm a big planner). And I basically described to her exactly what DH and I ended up doing, minus the jazz trio for cocktail hour.

Nope! The only thing I ever thought about when I was a kid was the dress. I was convinced as a child that I was going to wear a dress like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, but white obviously.
I did try one similar to it on and it looked absolutely beautiful! But it wasn't my style. I went for something totally different.

No, I never thought about my wedding growing up. Once I met DH, I thought about kissing him after we exchanged rings, and that moment... that's the only thing I ever focused on daydreaming about before we started planning the wedding. That went off without a hitch!

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
Definitely not, I never thought about getting married growing up or even when I got older. I never even thought that I would get married until DH started talking about getting engaged. I definitely wanted to just elope, we weren't able to do that

I used to think about my wedding when I was younger....I even had a board came I loooved which was called 'Perfect Wedding'Most of what I imagined when I was younger didn't actually happen (i.e. a horse and carriage) but I did get my string quartet which I wanted since I was young.
here's the game

When my sister got married in 05 everyone was looking to Shaun and I and the ideas that I had then were so the opposite of what i ended up doing...I never thought of my wedding itself i just thought that I would get married young!

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
I had been planning my wedding since I was 5, what the colors would be, how many bridesmaids I would have, where I wanted the ceremony, the type of reception i would have in a castle...Wound up not incorporating most of it, the only thing that was spot on was the 4 bridesmaids.
My original idea was either a sping or fall wedding, Spring in Pinks and Purples, Fall with every bridesmaid in a different color of Fall, Emerald, Bronze, Burgandy, Eggplant, etc.
Wound up with a winter wedding in Blues and Creams, no castle, no blond groom, no sweeping staircase lol

Not really. I did plan my Oscar acceptance speech, Presidential Inaugural Ball and how I was going to win a Nobel Prize.

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
not at all. I really didnt want to get married until I started dating DH. Even after I knew he was 'the one' I still never thought to much about it. I just knew that I wanted to get married in the Fall @ a vineyard.....I ended up getting married in July on the water....

I only wanted to get marry so I can wear the pretty dress. I didnt want the poofy, ball gown, but something elegant and modern which exactly what I wore - so I guess my dream came true LOL

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
i did not think about my wedding until DH and i got together. i could NEVER imagine marrying any of my exes. and the thought of marrying the ex right before DH was so horrifying that i told him to never bring up getting married!!! HAHA!once DH and i were happily in love all i thought about was marrying him. then i found colors that i liked MONTHS before getting engaged and it all went down hill from there! HAHA!

I actually had two dresses because I found a dress just like the one I wanted from when I was little. Then I realized that I wasn't into that style anymore.
Good thing I got it from David's Bridal, so it was only $300 and I could get a new one without breaking the bank.

I never thought about it at all. In fact, I always thought DH and I were going to elope. However, once I realized we weren't, I got totally involved i the planning.

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
Absolutely. I knew it was going to be big and I'd be wearing a ball gown. I've always wanted to be a princess on my wedding day and have the BIG white dress. For years I've joked with DH that the wedding has already been planned. He was just the last piece of the puzzle

Re: *Friday's NWQOTD*
i never thought of the wedding or the white dress. so all the planning was new to me and DH and i did everything togetheri think i like it better that way, since we were both involved and its not like i had this childhood vision that he couldnt contribute to
