Wow, those stories are so funny!!

I don't think this compares but DH's uncle is a priest and he conducted our ceremony. At the very end when he is supposed to say, you may now kiss your bride, he says let us go in peace...we just looked at him and DH said, 'Well can I kiss my wife now?' He's like 'You can if you want to'

Not that funny.....


Oh yeah, 1 more....my brother caught the garter and his girlfriend got the boquet (no, this was not planned...) they blindfolded my brother and DH sat in the chair...my brother started putting the garter on him, realized the foot had a sock and and for some stupid reason, my brother sniffed DH's foot!

Our daughter stood between us during the ceremony with her finger stuck up her nose! I can't wait to see those pictures!

Well, this was embarrassing to my DH more than funny (though my friends thought it was hysterical!) but I had 3 BMs and 3 GMs. The week before the wedding, one of the GM had to be hospitalized for a nervous breakdown (sad, i know). Well, we re-arranged who would walk with who etc, bc the 1 GM was not going to be able to be in the wedding. So, the ceremony went well, etc...we get to the reception and the 'missing' GM shows up just as we are doing the bridal party dance....and everyone is asking 'who is that guy?' It was embarrassing. And to top it off, he came in, danced and then went right outside to his dad's car who was waiting outside to take him back to the hospital.

During or ceramony, my neice decided to roam and explore the altar, sat down on a kneeler and started ringing the altarboy's bells....it was hysterical!

OMg too funny stories..I remembered one more.

Our 3 year old and our ring bearer deecided that they should explorer during our vows. It was not so cute at the time but everyone was laughing as I have DH holding my hand and my other hand is cupping my daughter's face hoping she would stay sill.

OK. I have a couple too.

My uncle was going to do one of the readings. I gave him a copy beforehand to practice because he was nervous. He was told he couldn't bring it up to the alter, because they would have a reading there. Well, his turn came and they must have taken a different version of the bible and the beginning of the reading was different. He started reading and kept messing up. So instead of just continuing, he announced to the church that I gave him the wrong reading.
(It doesn't sound too funny now, but it was!)

DH has a friend that tends to drink too much. So, we have a picture of him on the ground on his back, trying to look up my dress (I coulnd't believe the photograoher got this shot!)

Same friend decided to start dirty dancing with my DH's 70 year old aunt. They were dancing around and she was swinging his tie above her head. We have about 30 pictures of this! I can't wait to see the video.

I got married at Flowerfield, which has a pond in the cocktail hour room, WELL my cousin wasn't looking exactly where he was going and SPLASH right in the pond. I didn't see it but everyone else seemed too.

Ok, picture this, I am standing behind a curtain with a light on my back ( guests see a silhouette), people are coming down the aisle, I dont see any of it.
All of a sudden my caterer rushes to the other side of curtain, I still dont think anything of it. Then I hear my mom say, ' I didn't fall.' It turns out she was wearing a ring that fell off and when she bent down to get it she lost her balance! Friends told me that 2 of their husbands and my photographer ran over to get her up. She is lucky I was on the OTHER side of ther curtain.

Also during my ceremony my cousin got dizzy from standing up at the chuppah ( marriage tent) and asked my mom is she could sit in her chair. My mother started fanning her, trying to get the caterer to give her water, all through my ceremony. This is all on video! We crack up everytime we watch it!

One of my GM got so drunk that he used my favor boxes~Chinese Take Out Cartons as doggie bags...we have it alllllll on film!

I just remembered this! When we were introduced at the wedding the singer in the band pronounced my name, Meghan, as 'MEG-HAND'. So we when we enterd in he kept saying over and over and over 'Jeffrey and MEG-HAND'. We couldn't stop laughing and everyone else was laughing too and now my friends call me 'MEG-HAND'.

and lastly... I had the special rice that melts in water, well they smelled so good that everyone started eating them!!! It said right on the bag that they aren't for human consumption!!! They all thought it was candy!
My grandfathers video caught everyone waiting outside, chowing down on it... too funny!

I can't believe this happened to us too!!!!! I have just recently started hearing people talk about the 'candy' at the church - and how good it was!!!

It was the 'Designer Rice' I bought at Michael's!!!! At first I thought they were joking around with me - but they weren't!!! DH warned me (as we were filling the little rice sacks) that it smelled good!!!!!

Oh - and as we lit the unity candles the wax spilled on DH's hand! He's trying not to say 'ouch' too loudly - and we were trying to hold in our laughter!! Good thing music was playing during this part!

I completely forgot about this, until I saw the raw footage of our video a few weeks ago.
The priest was saying his opening statements, welcoming everybody to the church and my dad was standing at the altar between DH and me. This is before he 'gives me away'.
The priest said said 'now in this day and age, I am also going to have to ask you to turn off your cell phones and pagers' My dad reaches into his tuxedo jacket and pulls out his phone to turn it off. At The Altar. It is all on film. I couldn't stop laughing! I tease him about it now...now Dad everybody you know was at the church, whose calling you???

I have quite a few. When the priest started his homily he talked about when he was ordained as a priest it rained and he asked his mom why it was raining and she because the angels were happy. Well, he said that if the angels were happy that day then they were ecstatic (if you remember I got married and it poured in the morning). Everyone was laughing.

At the reception, you all know that my dad hired a Cher impersonator so seeing my dad and uncles look and dancing like this is funny.

Also, my dad and guests dressed up as the Village People and dancing to YMCA was funny too.

this is sooooo embarassing and i can't believe that i am admitting it but it will be on the video and it will spread...the whooooole morning, i was fine, calm, collected and soooo easygoing...even walking down the aisle, i was smiling and laughing, not feeling nervous. during the ceremony, i was fine...keeping it cool for my man. then it came time for the vows. well, i started bawling like a baby. only this...when i cry, my nose gets runny. so at one point, i must have exhaled through my nose and blew a snot rocket which i quickly breathed back in! i then busted out laughing and couldn't stop!!! dh saw it, video guy caught it, best man could hardly contain himself, my mom almost died...and all i could think was 'thank god for this tendril in my face' or else everyone would have seen the double bubbles being blown from my nose!

Oh, I've got a few from the ceremony.
We did a runthrough of the ceremony so everyone would know what to do. My parents were supposed to walk me down the aisle, lift my veil, kiss me and then kiss DH. Well my dad can't see all that well, so when he reached the end of the aisle, the videographers light was in his eyes and he froze! He looked like a deer caught in headlights, we had to guide him into the chuppa.
DH gave me the wrong hand when it was time for rings and I almost put it on the right hand before he realized it was wrong!
After the ceremony when DH went to step on the glass he missed and had to do it again! lol!
Then we go to walk back up the aisle and my parents were right behind us. My dad kept stepping on my train and I kept turning my head to yell at him 'dad get off my train,' 'seriously dad, you're stepping on my train,' 'DAD get off my friggin' train!' I can't wait to see the video!

I have another one to add. My 6-year-old niece had a great time at the wedding and by the end of the night she was exhausted. We wound up finding her sleeping on the floor in the corner. It was so funny! We didn't even notice she was gone for a little bit!

During the mass, I put the ring on the wrong hand.. He held it out and I didn't notice. Then while we were still on the alter, I whispered to him to switch it. I couldn't believe that quite a few people saw this from their seats.

We also had a quite a few party people there. One guess was put up on her boyfriend's shoulders during a particular song. Her dress got hiked up from behind. She was wearing a thong, so my parents table got a view of the full moon.

I got married at Flowerfield too. There were a lot of children at the family. We were 'taking bets' which one would end up in one of the ponds.... My cousin's 2 year old son won. Oh, and she's 8 months pregnant and went right in after him to get him out. (So maybe not so funny for her )
