Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

2 things for me...
first, when it came time to put on my DH's ring, I couldn't get it over his knuckle and I started hysterically laughing and couldn't stop!!! He had to push the ring on the rest of the way,
and after we were 'allowed' to kiss on the alter, DH lifted my arm up in the air with his, and I thought my dress fell down and my boob popped out, so i grabbed my boob!!!!! in front of all those people!!
Luckily my dress did not fall down, but it had to be made tighter afterwards!!

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

Karen,

I had the same problem with my DH's ring......couldn't get it over his knuckle & he had to push it on this after I went to put it on his middle finger first I have a some vision loss & didn't realize that it was the wrong finger until he pointed it out! Of course this is all on video I wanted to cut that part out of the video but he wouldn't let me.

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

Hey.. I got the 'granny drop'

I hope it comes out in my unedited video.

There we are.. silent staring at eachother, the room is quiet and the pastor is beginning the ceremony. As he speaks, Jim and I look at each and take a few deep breaths.. then..

*Boom* Tumble *thud**thud*

It's behind me so I didn't see. But I see Jim lean over to see if he should stop the wedding to help.

From what I hear it was one of the older 'grandmothers' entering in late and slipped and fell. She was quickly removed from the room by near by guests. I don't believe she re-entered. The funny thing is just that it was so silent. No scream, no ouch, NOTHING. Just the thud sounds and then continue on as usual!
hehe

She was fine. Embarassed, but fine.

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

During the garter removal, my DH pulled out extra extra large panties and held them up...I was sooo embarassed.
On the dance floor, his two cousins were having a dance 'battle' to freestyle music and they were breakdancing on the floor.
Too funny...

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

Dh and I wrote our vows and had not heard each others. I was a crying mess while saying mine. Then it is DH's turn. Well, he gets to this part in his vows about how we are not creating 'one single life, but a third', he pauses for a split second. I realize that my hands are on my stomach (when I get nervous sometimes I rest my hands on my stomach) and people are kinda giggling and/or gasping. So, I look down and start feeling my stomach with a puzzeled look on my face and then turn to everyone and shake my head no.

I had one of my close male friends as one of my BM's. He kept joking about how he was upset that all he got was a boutinerre, not a bo-k. So, during the ceremony when I handed my bo-k to my MOH she handed her bo-k to Gregg. It is one of my favorite pictures.

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

These are great!! I am LMAO!!

This is probably more cute than funny but when Jim and I were introduced at the reception and we had to run through the arch that the BP made... at the beginning of the line was one of our RB, only 7 years old. Well, he stops us just as we are about to run through and says 'Excuse me, but can I have a hug?' And he insisted that DH and I both give him hugs right then and there!

Re: Funny things that happened at your wedding?

Great stories everyone... especially the one with the kids! Too cute, funny and sweet!!!

Here are mine:

*It's notorious for my brother to ALWAYS have to go back home to get something for any event/party we've ever had... so in true form, our wedding was no exception. I forgot my vows by accident after we were already on the highway!! We had to make a u-turn with this huge limo, and were a little bit late, but we made it, vows included. There's a picture roaming around of my brother running to the limo, though... lol.
*After my step-dad gave me away, we were instructed to sit down. So I did, and I sat on my veil, which popped right off, and everyone giggled, as me & MOH put it back on.
*Instead of unity candles, we did the sand-thing (different colored sands, blend to make one color). Well, when we started to pour the sand in, it wasn't mixing (we hadn't practiced it! lol), and the priest quipped 'it's supposed to mix to purple, but, well, you get the idea', and everyone cracked up.
*One of my old friends did a reading, and in the middle, she messed up and said 'blaahhh' with a funny face.
*During the garter removal, DH fished for it with his head under my gown, and pulled it out with his teeth.
That was all hilarious, and caught on tape/camera!
