How much money should we bring with us?

I have never gone to a place like this so I have no idea what to bring. And we still tip people right? Someone told me not too but I didnt know if that was right.

i didnt go on my hm yet but we did an all inclusive two yrs ago.....bring about 2000 with you.......we spent nowhere near that but at least we had the money ..............our excursions came to 900 (we did something everyday for 5 days) dinners came to about 300 total we left our staff tips (about 50 each)......and about 100 for souveniers.....but I guess it all depends on where you are going...

It depends on what country it is, what you want to do, and what kind of a resort it is. Our resort was no cash meaning we charged everything to the room and paid afterwards. That included any activities we wanted to do, although if you go off the resort you'll obviously need some spending money for in town or if you don't use the resort to book any off site activities. We didn't bring any money with us, but we also didn't spend that much either (maybe $70 in the gift shop).

We brought about $1k with us, we tipped only if we ordered room service, the person that brought our bags to the room and from the room, and the guy that took our bags from the airport to our shuttle bus. Our excursions came to about $800. The other staff members wouldn't except any tips.

Every AI that I have ever been to there is no need to tip.....thats included.

We brought about 1k...spent probably less than $200. The staff at the resort was not allowed to accept tips. We only left money for the maid, tour guides on excursions and drivers. Anything we needed on the resort (at the gift shop) was put on our CC.

I think we probably spent like $200 cash for tips. Excursions we put on credit card and were another $300 I think. Also - DH bought me a nice necklace while we were there...about $200 on credit card. I would bring like $400 cash and then use credit or debit for everything else.

We always tip no matter what & we brought to Aruba $2500. Since even though we were AI we went out for dinner every night & Aruba is kind of expensive. Also for excursions & special things like buying a new bag for me at duty free & a new watch for dh. lol lol

we needed about $200 in cash. tipped only for excursions and airport transportation. and butler service.

We bought about 1,000. We only used the money for tips because of a situation we had and the place covered our fess.

I just went all inclusive with my honeymoon. We brought about 2k with us. We tipped all of our waiters and waitresses, the room service person, the person who brought our bags to our room. we tipped all of our bartenders. Especially the one at our swim up bar we gave him $20 per day we kept him happy. He worked for his money. We tipped all the drivers that took us to and from our excursions. We went off property one night for dinner and we had to pay for our excursions.
You will still spend money eventhough its all inclusive.

we went to aruba and stayed all inclusive, i think we brought like 3,000 with use but thats only cuz i knew we would be eating out some days cuz aruba is known for their great food, but depends i guess with how much stuff you plan on doing, excursions, food, drinknig outside the resort.

we did an AI for the first part of our HM and we didnt spend a dime. we werent allowed to tip anyone including the shuttle service or anyone helping with bags.
we didnt do any excursionsthough so thats why we spent nothing. i would just bring $$ for excursions

we tipped the staff .. i felt weird not tipping them and they were so appreciative too

we brought enough for cab fare.. shopping and the excursions we wanted to do
