Girls who went to Excellence Playa Mujeres..

I remember someone started a vacation post and a few girls said that EPM is beautiful...we are looking for some place to go in December/January (not around the holidays though).. I looked into it and it looks really nice..I just have a few questions which could be deal-breakers for us:

1. Is it hard to find chairs at the beach or pool? Do people get up early to reserve chairs making it hard for other people who get there at 11? We hate when resorts don't monitor that.

2. Can you eat at any restaurant you want every day or are there limits on how many times per week you can have steak, or have the Italian food, etc? I think there are some all inclusives that will say you can only eat at the steak place once per 5 days or something like that...we want flexibillity.

Not hard at all to find chairs or even the beds...we went to the beach around 10 or 11 and there were still lots of empty beds open in November. As far as the restaurants go, you can go as often as you like without making any reservations. There's always one restaurant closed each day though so make sure you go to all the ones you like right away. I loved the tapas restaurant and the French restaurant.

As far as the restaurants go, you can go as often as you like without making any reservations. Went there on our honeymoon in April we loved it. Unfortunately it rained for 3 days but we loved the resort. No problem getting lounge chairs. You can eat at whatever restaurant you want the food is great some are only open for dinner though. Their is a great selection of food. DH and I want to go back in a few years we loved it so much. DH and I went last November and LOVED it!!!!! Like everyone said, no problems finding a lounge...but you did have to get up a little earlier if you wanted one around the main pool.

Our favorite restaurants for dinner were the Tapas place, Chez Isabelle and Spice.

We went in June and there were not a lot of people there. We had a ton of room all to ourself! It was not even remotely crowded. Its all adults and pretty much couples only. It was so nice and quiet and peaceful !! They have beds and lounges ALL OVER free of use to lay on by the pools AND on the beaches.

There are 8 restaurants I think and you can go to them as much as you want ! The food is really good with a huge choice of diff restaurants. The alcoholic drinks are really good. Sometimes at all inclusives the drinks suckkk but here they were perfect !! There are a few diff pools, so if you want to be more secluded you can be, or if you want to be near more people theres a pool for that too. They have hammocks over the pools, and free floats.

The resort is sooo clean and spotless ! They have live music every night and some nights they have shows in an open air theatre ! There is also a medical doctor in the resort too.

Oh and you have a fridge in your room and they come and fill it up EVERYDAY free of charge !! They stock you with soft drinks, water, beer, and snacks!!

They greet you with champagne upon arriving to the hotel. It is also like more than 1/2 the price of sandals, so we were able to get our dream room which was a rooftop terrace room. There was a jacuzzi in the room and then a staircase leading up to our own private rooftop terrace with a shower and pool with lounges. It was AMAZING !
