Had my baby boy- 9 weeks early!

I had my baby boy- Nicholas Paul on March 2nd at 8:28am. He was born via emergency c-section due to the fact that I developed preeclampsia and my blood pressure was extremely high. He was born at a day short of 31 weeks he weighed 2lbs 15oz and was 16in long. He is in the NICU at North Shore Manhasset and will probably be there for another 4-5 weeks. He is doing extremely well. He is breathing on his own and the only tubes he has is a feeding tube which they are feeding him my breast milk and he has electrodes to monitor his breathing, heart rate and pressure. He is alert and feisty! They had to strap him down because he kept trying to push himself out of the bunting! I am extremely happy to be a mommy and just cannot wait until he is home with DH and I. I just wanted to share!

Congratulations! My baby was born 8 weeks early because of preeclampsia too. Stay strong, he will be home before you know it!

OMG these babies must want to get out of their nice warm home

My work bestie's wife gave birth to their son on Sunday- 15 weeks early. He started marching out while they were at lunch- literally. By the time they go to the hospital, his feet were out
