Hey ladies - need some venue help!
Hi Ladies,Sorry I havent been around much but was always more of a lurker anyway which I have been!!
Jon and I are starting to look for houses and that will be the next big project for us.
My new job is going well, so far, so good! Its a lot better than my last one so I feel so much better. Dont know how I planned a wedding working there because I was miserable!
Anyway, my 30th Birthday is coming up and what a great reason to throw a party!
Would love to pick your brain on some LI venue suggestions for the day after Thanksgiving!
Super cheap and cheerful and want to have a DJ - 80s theme party spinning 80s music since I was born in 1980!
Any suggestions??

The Knights of Colombus in Seaford is really nice (esp. for a KOC). Have you considered VFW and KOC halls?

I am not sure what your budget is or how many people but we just threw my inlaws a party at La Piazza in Merrick. They have a house DJ that was terrific, they were easy to deal with and the food was great.

City Cafe in Garden City is really nice also, I had my shower there and they did a great job. There is even a little dance floor area to be able to put a DJ.

Thanks these are great starts!! I really just want to do a cocktail party with a DJ, so hard to think of reasonable places that won't break the bank! Or even a venue with a private room.Keep'em coming! :)
