High School Reunions

Did you go to your 10 year?? If it hasnt been 10 years, do you plan on it?

The way I see it, I read what these people do on facebook every friggin day. I dont need to have a reunion to meet up with you again. I have no desire to go to mine.

I think I'm bitter today.

Re: High School Reunions

i didn't go to mine ... i barely liked any of those people (and the ones i did like, i'm still friends with) ... plus, they were charging $125 per person (so $250 for DH and me) ... i don't like ANYONE that much!

Re: High School Reunions

I was thinking the same thing actually.

There isn't anyone I'm 'looking for' either.

Plus, I don't think anyone from my graduating class is planning anything and the school doesn't do that stuff without alumni help.

Re: High School Reunions

nope, didn't go to mine. Didn't really like that many people when I was there, so I had no reason to go and see them 10 years later

Re: High School Reunions

Mine was cancelled because not enough people were going We ended up doing an informal reunion at a bar, and there were maybe like 30 people there. It was ok, but nothing extravagant. It was nice to see a few old friends that I've lost touch with.

Re: High School Reunions

Funny, I was technically the organizer of my 10 year reunion but I couldn't go---I had a wedding that night! Apparently it was a horrible turnout and I got hate messages from people who were mad they bought tickets and I didn't even attend it but when I planned it a year before I had no idea one of my best friends would be getting married that night! Oops.

Re: High School Reunions

I went to mine and I had actually alot of fun. Yes I have like 70% of my HS class on FB but it was so much diffrent talking to people in person. I mean at fist everyone was still in their main clicks but after a few drinks everyone lightened up and started to really mingle. I also talked to alot of people who I never really hung out with so it was pretty neat and then we all went to another bar and partied somemore.

Re: High School Reunions

Undecided...

All of our friends now are our friends from high school (we went through High School together) We have stayed close with everyone so I don't know if it will make a difference...

Re: High School Reunions

I didn't go... it was right when DH and I started dating and we had tickets to go to Young Frankenstein... I see what these people do on FB everyday and could probably even pick all of their kids out of a lineup, I didn't feel the need to go.

I haven't decided yet...it would be in two years and I have no idea if by then I'll have any interest. Honestly, right now I really don't!

Re: High School Reunions

I'll see how I feel when I get the invite next year...depends on how much it is and who else is going. Honestly though, I currently speak to everyone I want to from my graduating class so I don't really see a need to go...

Re: High School Reunions

Even though I got off FB, I felt the same way you all do about FB and high school reunions. PLUS, my high school is just a bunch of people who are more interested in getting drunk in the grass at Belmont Stakes, to the point where they were going to move it to there because everyone said they couldn't make it to the party because of Belmonth Sometimes it's just time to grow up...

PLUS, I don't want to see any of them. The ones I want to see I've stayed in touch with and are still my friends. AND if I want to see other people from my town I can just go to a bar in Floral Park on any weekend and it's a reunion...
