I need some LIW Prayers

MIL was diagnosed with breast cancer a few weeks ago. Her sister was also recently diagnosed but just finished with her treatment. Right about the time she found out about that, she also tested herself to see if she had the mutated cancer gene and she does. Now MIL just found out she also has the gene which means DH and his two siblings have a 50/50 chance of having it as well. FIL died this January of cancer and battled cancer 4 times in his life. Because of it and other life circumstances, it led him to be really depressed and he completely abandoned his family and was a horrible father. Because of this DH is TERRIFIED of cancer. To him it is the worst thing that could ever happen to you in life and he is terrified of getting it, having it change him like it did his father, or die young from it.

MIL is going to tell him about the gene (I don't think it's my place to say anything since it's her son and I know she told me in confidence), but it is totally going to devastate him that not only is his mother more sick than he realized and that he might also have the gene.

Can you please say some prayers for MIL for a speedy recovery, and for DH and his siblings that they don't have the gene as well?

I know that's a lot of prayers and times are tough, but we'd really appreciate it!

So sorry to hear this. I hope your MIL has an easy and speedy recover. My mom is a breast cancer survivor so I know how it is.

I'm so so sorry. I know how hard it is. MIL and all her sisters have gone through chemo for it. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

I have a feeling DH will do the test. He will just be devastated if he finds out he has it. It would seriously be his worst fear come true. I'm really worried about how this is going to turn out.

My husband's mother had breast cancer when he was 7 (thankfully, she is well and great now!). His father died of cancer 10 years ago...It's so scary and sad.
