Re: I wanna puke
that's great!if the salary is a lot more and it's a job that has potential to be a lifetime position, then go for it ... but only if you don't hate the city. if you hate it, it'd probably be torture to go in every day

oh, and if you're only leaving because of salary, then speak with your current job to try to get a raise ... it worked for a friend of mine

good luck making your decision!

Re: I wanna puke
congrats on the offer!! it's a hard decision. i went from LI to the city b/c it was more $$ and a great opportunity. However, once a baby is introduced to my life I can't see myself spending 12+hrs a day- 5 days/wk out of my house. No matter how good the money is.My commute is 1.5hrs each way and it's annoying, but I don't yet hate it. I've been doing it for over a yr. Plus DH gets home later than me. If he came home earlier than me, then I'd be very upset missing out on time together.
You have to see what is right for you and your lifestyle. Right now for me, it's perfect. But in a yr or so, prob not.
Good Luck to you!!

First of all! YAY about the job offer!
And second, DEF try this. It worked for my sister in law too. Talk it over with DH and see what the pros and cons are. Is there more growth at the other place? Will the traveling into the city, negate the extra money you'll be making? Are you happy where you are working? Will you be able to leave that behind and move onto something different? And will this be a long time change or something short? ALSO, think about when you guys are going to start TTC. If you are starting a new job and then TTC within the next couple months, that job might not be as leniate as the job you have now.

Re: I wanna puke
so exciting - congrats on the offer!!! i know how you feel though - i've been at my company for almost 5 years and even going through the process of looking elsewhere gives me anxiety.i think a pro/con list would come in handy and really help you map out what you do and don't like about both situations, since it will affect your household costs, commuting time, potentially quality of life, job security/happiness. it might give you a more clear picture of what you are trying to get to!
good luck
