The SAME thing happened to me, 3 weeks went by with no certificate, and I also had to have mine submitted for insurance within a month. My officiant didnt fill it out properly either

My insurance company said they can definitely make an exception, so see if yours will do the same.

Oh my god, I would seriously rip that priest a new one. I wouldn't care if he's a man of the cloth or anything. You have sh!t you need to take care of and you need that piece of paper!

Re: If you got your marriage license in Queens... UPDATE!

OMG I feel your pain!! We got married in Brooklyn and it was about a month after our wedding that I was like 'Hey where is our certificate?' I asked the deacon and he said he sent it in the Tuesday after our wedding. Went to the clerks office since it by my job, and they said they NEVER received it...there was no record of us getting married!! So apparently it was just 'lost'! Nice! I had to pay $25 to get a new license (***! I didnt lose it!), run around to get everyone's signatures again (deacon, witnesses, etc.) and I went straight to the clerks office to get it processed and they did it right then and there. If I were you, I would get the license from the priest after he signs it and go to the clerks office right after. They will process it for you right there. Good luck and sorry you had to go through this!! So NOT fun!!!
