If you really loved a certain food place

but you saw a review on a site where someone said they saw a mouse running , would you go back. I love a sandwich this place sells. But after reading the review, I see a mouse running in the back of my mind.

yea i would....there are probably worse things going on at restaurants...if i saw the mouse with my own eyes then i wouldn't but what i don't see doesn't hurt me.

yea... there was always complaints about a pizza place near us... but we loved their huge chicken roll so we always went back

Yea, I'd go back. I live in Manhattan...I am sure every single restaurant in this city has mice, roaches, rats, etc. Gross - but its reality. Of course that doesn't mean hearing a review wouldn't make me think about it for a while.

yes, as long as it wasnt something that happened to me... i dont care... but for ex, like a roach in someones soup might just be too over the top for me to go back

Yup. There are always going to be bugs and rodents around restaurants. It's the nature of the business.

My dad used to own a restaurant and it was completely clean and up to dept. of health standards. But it was right on the water in Jersey City, and right after 9/11 when they were doing all types of cleanup and work, one day my sister saw a rat run through. Comes with the territory.

Same here. Recently I found something very unpleasant in the place I got salads from every day and I haven't been able to go back since.

But I've also heard hearsay about other places that I've continued to eat at ... just what comes with the territory ... if I see it personally though, I can't move past it.

I've worked in food places before- not gonna lie- they all have mice and bugs. The good places just keep them out of the food and off food prep areas.

I'd def. go back.

Please, I'm still trying to get super mouse out of my house!! They always sneak in around this time of year. We had to put down glue traps (since we have dogs) and we found one of the glue traps moved from it's original spot with mouse foot prints on it! That f*cker walked right over the glue trap!!!

Unfortunately but all food places have these issues, gross but any place that has that much food is going to have this....as long as it wasn't sited by the board of health I would go back. And who knows, maybe this reviewer had a bone to pick for some personal reason and is trying to be a PITA to the owner or something.

ITA with this. . they did just publish something about mice being in about EVERY rest in the city. . now if it was on the counter or on a table for sure I am OUT! I've also had mice/roaches/etc in homes at different points of my life and while we def got on pest control I still ate there!

It's just something that pretty much all places deal with, from the dollar-a-slice pizza place to high-end cuisine.

I wouldn't. MIL found a roach in her food at DH's fav. chinese food place. He still goes back all the time. I will NEVER go back (then again I dont like chinese food). I'm picky enough as it is!

I think it depends. Does it generally look clean? My brother likes a place that we heard about roaches, and then actually one on the wall. After that I hate going there, and it's obvious the owners don't care because in the last 5 years the place has become totally decrepit. But the food is so good, it's a shame they don't take care of it more.
