LA hotels?

Anyone have any hotel recommendations in a good area of LA? DH and I are going to Vegas for a long weekend in June and I want to surprise him by going to California for a few days from there. Last time we were there we stayed in West Hollywood and the hotel wasn't too nice (the area was great though) so I want to find something new.

Re: LA hotels?

We rented a bungalow off of Sunset Blvd that we found through Homeaway.com. It was honestly so nice! It isn't the same as a hotel, but it was fun to have a cute little house to ourselves for a week. We loved it, and the owner was fabulous! He left us a Zagat and tons of recommendations on where to go/what to do around LA.

Re: LA hotels?

we were just in LA in Sept and stayed at Le Parc Suites. It's an apartment building turned into a hotel, so it has more of a homey feel and it was really nice. the room was much bigger than we were expecting. it had a kitchen area too. right around the block from STK on a quiet street with other homes.

here's the link: hotel
