Ladies who live in apartment complexes..

DH and I were on the road to buying a house until I lost my job...I was wondering if you ladies could recommend a complex that is no more than 1500$/mo, no more East than Sayville and no more West than Nassau county. Thanks!

You should try Mineola. I was living in a co-op there for many years. Some buildings are more expensive than others, but you can totally find a one bedroom for that price.

my apt complex is 1250 for a one bedroom and they are putting up a wall in the living room because it is so big to divide it into an off. I live in west babylon

what about fairfield apartments- they are all over the island. i live near a complex in port jeff and its really pretty- looks like you can definitly find something under $1500

I currently live there.....I am not happy at all. We're gone in a few days and I couldn't be more thrilled.

Which complex?

Westminister on sunrise its a smaller complex. We just moved in on the first. My friend live in the niche in west babylon off of sunrise they are nice and some have a deck. I chose the one i live in because there its more spacious but the Niche is definitely nice and they are both close to the babylon rail.

I know someone who lived at the Fairfield Properties apartment complex in Hauppauge, and I think she liked it enough. SHe had a studio (not even 1 BR) and still had plenty of room, so it could be worth looking into.

Depending on what you make now, I would also contact LI housing partnership, see about some of the income contingent places. We had an apt in Melville, normally 2400, and were renting it for 1395
