Is it just me or are the ladies over there way more combative than over here? Just seems like they are very opinionated and ready to snark at and put others who don't share their opinions down.

I mostly just post on the PG board, but sometimes wander over to the relationships board and it's a scary place...

I also thought I was going to get my head bit off the other day for something I said about getting the flu shot which came across not like I meant it to. Oops.

In general, it's helpful for the whole PG stuff, but definitely not as friendly as I found it here when wedding planning. Guess it has to do with the euphoria of brides... (ha ha)

we dont get like that on liw our is short. they go into huge pages of writing.

i have a cough-so i took cough medicine - it didnt work so i took more. well it finally worked and i was wired and couldnt sleep. that convo made my head spin. i couldnt even read it all. i skimmed it.

I searched and searched for some grammar to correct but did not find anything. Although personally, I would probably have said 'put down others who don't share their opinions.'

It also seems like there are a lot more people who actively post over there, as opposed to here. And obviously a lot more topics...everything here is generally wedding-centered. That alone lends to people having a broad range of opinions.

I do see some snarkiness, definitely. You're always going to have the people who love drama on the internet. But most of what I see is just 'no b.s., no sugarcoating' kind of stuff.

I don't visit any of the child-centered boards, so I can't comment on anything that may or may not go on there.

I don't even venture into the deep dark depths of the relationship board. I mainly stay on the Pregnancy board and Home. I do see it occasionally on the FHF, where they will rip each other apart.

I won't say the specific thread but they ripped each other a new a$$hole about er... money. Wow, just wow. People like to throw their opinion around and pass judgment, I feel it's to start some sh!t rather than helping each other with a dilemma.

The post that inspired my post was on the Parenting board...there were a lot of posts yesterday about dicipline (sp?) and she made a long post about what they had done with her son and how well it had worked...in the beginning of the post she stated that she was nowhere near the world's best mother, listing some mistakes that she made...but overall I thought the post was really helpful. She didn't say anything like 'DO IT THIS WAY OR YOUR CHILD WILL BE TERRIBLE'...just stated her experience.

They tore her a new one for acting all high and mighty and pretending to be Worlds #1 Mom...I thought it was ridiculous

i also think here though alothough we are all different we have the wedding in common and for the most part are at the same place in life (i.e getting married, starting families etc) There you have a melting pot of people so i can see it getting wild....

there is def a lot of question on the fhf board that could make some serious ..but for thew most part it stays pretty cool..

but i def see what u r saying i have def seen some people get ripped apart for practically nothing
