famous people you have met in person (or seen in an every day setting!)

ETA: Russell Simmons in a NYC movie theater in the 90's, Chris Angel in MSG, Soupy Sales (does he count) at a Blockbuster opening in the 80's, Richard Simmons at Broadway Mall doing some book signing or something (he is teeny!), and Susan Lucci shopping at Pottery Barn when I worked here (she is teeny too).

Patti Smith...was at her house a lot of times. I knew her son.

Type O Negative...so happy I met them.

Pat Smear from The Germs/Nirvana/Foo Fighters...was at Roseland when I was buying tickets at their box office...he was super sweet.

I played frisbee with some members of Rancid and Save Ferris backstage at a festival once.

KidRock...family friend was a promoter for him early on. His midget buddy said something nasty to my dad about him being a cop. My dad said 'die, you short a-hole, we protect you'...and now the midget is dead. Lo siento.

I met Everclear at an album signing...I was still in the store when it was over and I was shopping and talking to them about bands. I was like...14? It made my year. LOL.

I was in a Limp Bizkit video.

I saw Billie Joe Armstrong in front of the St. James Theatre a couple weeks back.

Johnny Depp and Hunter S. Thompson at a book signing for 'Fear and Loathing...'

And...I see/meet a lot of people who come through the office since I work for a large theatre company.

Mike Tyson was escorted out of the Hardrock when we were at Rehab

Derek of Run DMC is my friends neighbor and performed a private concert for a bunch of us at the bowling ally suite at the Hardrock

Does anyone remember Giggles from back in the day? She lived in Brooklyn and my mother used to do her nails .. she performed one night and gave my twin sister and I a shout out (my mom did her nails for the show that day)
