I knew from the start there was something different about the way I felt about DH...after talking online for a month and a half and having two visits I knew he was the one...it was about 3 months after we had started talking and a month and a half after we first met in person...we'd been in each other's presence for a total of 7 days.

So...I don't know. If you had asked me before then yeah, i would have said I don't believe in it...but it sort of seems like that's what happened for me? Either way, everyone thought I was nuts.

See but that's different to me. You guys TALKED and had conversations before your 'first sight' so you did have time to get to know him as a person. I don't think someone could see a guy at a bar and say 'This is it. He's the one.' and then pick him up. I mean I know I'm taking it very literally, but KWIM?

then we need to define what 1st sight means
is it 1st time seeing each other? 1st time talking? 1st time looking at a person more than a friend?

I would say any first ENCOUNTER. Love at first encounter... doesn't sound as nice, huh?

Definitely not, the first time I met DH I didn't think anything of him and I wouldn't have ever thought that he liked me. Even after hanging out with him a few times, I still wasn't sure if I liked him or not

Def not love at first sight here. I thought he was cute but I never gave him much thought until after being friends with him for a few months.

ehh i thought dh was a hottie when i was like 12. i always liked him and he liked me.. but i didnt fall in love iwth him til we started dating.. that took a few months. so weird. bleh

I saw Justin on my friend's myspace page, and asked who the hot guy was...

Turns out he was her boyfriend!

They broke up.... and we got together soon after that.

I'm a big homewrecker!

I was only 16 when DH and I started dating and I knew right away we would get married one day. Everyone I told laughed at me, told me I wasn't even old enough to be in love never mind love at first sight. Well here we are almost 9 years later and married. So yeah I definitely believe in love at first sight but I don't think everyone has to instantly fall in love, everyone is different.

Im not even kiddin when i say this, but on our first date i said to myself, 'this is my first and last date with this guy!' who knew he'd grow on me!!!

noooooo. he had some instantaneous something for me, probably lust. feeling was not mutual. i thought he was too hairy.

WHAT NO ITS NOT BAD! Me & DH were friends before anything because i had a boyfriend at the time. But i will say after our first date i said to my sister & mom that he is the one im going to marry. Well low & behold im on the newly board, now arent i!? lol

Dh and i had an instant connection. we were very attached/obsessed with each other from the beginning. we had to always be talking (6 hour phone calls til 3am) and always be together (hung out every single day).
