Love at first sight?
I was talking to my MOH/BFF about this guy she just met. She was telling me how she just 'has a feeling' he's the one from the very beginning. And she even asked me if I felt that way about DH from the beginning. Is it weird that it wasn't love at first sight? I didnt see him and automatically say 'I'm gonna marry him.' It wasn't until about 3 months in that I started having serious feelings.
Just wondering what everyone's situation was like. Was it love at first sight for you and DH?

Re: Love at first sight?
it was def NOT love at first site with DH and me. It was more of a 'he's ok, i'll give him a second shot ... but i doubt it'd go anywhere past that!'

Re: Love at first sight?
No way!!! I don't want to start any
but I don't believe in love at first sight. Lust at first sight, definitely. Even like at first sight, but not love. How can you love someone instantly like that? How can you KNOW them enough to love them?
DH and I met when we were teens! I was 16 and he was 19- I know, I know he's a pedofile.
He told me that one day I was gonna be his. I
and
and we went our separate ways only to meet up again years later and we just clicked. Soooooooo he was right after all!

Re: Love at first sight?
I don't remember feeling like it was 'love at first sight' - we were both drunk when we met
I don't really believe in it...but I did develop feelings for him pretty quickly.

Re: Love at first sight?
I have to say it was definitely hubba hubba at 1st sight. But the first times he came to my house-about 2-3 months after meeting him, he said he felt like we belonged together.

Re: Love at first sight?
I knew from the start there was something different about the way I felt about DH...after talking online for a month and a half and having two visits I knew he was the one...it was about 3 months after we had started talking and a month and a half after we first met in person...we'd been in each other's presence for a total of 7 days.So...I don't know. If you had asked me before then yeah, i would have said I don't believe in it...but it sort of seems like that's what happened for me? Either way, everyone thought I was nuts.

Re: Love at first sight?
We were def love at first sight...the first thing I said was I am going to marry him one day and he said he had that same connection...with that said I dont think there is anything wrong or weird with having to get to know someone before those feelings emerge...we are all different so it all hits us differently!

Re: Love at first sight?
I don't think it's weird that you didn't experience that-everyone is different.I guess you could say the night DH and I met it was love at first sight (technically). We were totally drawn to each other and ended up hanging out till like 4am! Within a month we knew we were going to be husband and wife and have a family one day

Re: Love at first sight?
I called DH the quiet guy that stood in the corner. We were friends 2 years before I would have even considered dating him. Not weird at all. I guess it could happen, but I would guess thats more lust... but i think everyone is different

big fat ITA
and for us it was very similar too, we too started talking marriage after a month of dating
we met online and I thought he was a bit weird but def totally different than anyone I talked to by that point (I actually wanted to cancel our 1st date due to some weird azz comment he made), but then when we finally met in the lobby of my office building I was sooooo smitten - he was amazing.
and DH says to this day that the moment he saw me in person he knew I'm gonna be his wife and that he loved me from that very 1st moment.
not sure if I completely believe him but then again it worked out exactly like he felt

Re: Love at first sight?
Okay when I met DH.....he swears it was love at first sight for him....that he knew i was the one for him. When he says that to ppl, I just
and
to it, coz I can't honestly think that can actually happen. It took me about a month and half of talking on the phone and going out together that I realized that he could be the one. But to say that I loved since I first met him, nah....but I sure get a kick of him saying that I was THE ONE FOR HIM!!

See but that's different to me. You guys TALKED and had conversations before your 'first sight' so you did have time to get to know him as a person. I don't think someone could see a guy at a bar and say 'This is it. He's the one.' and then pick him up. I mean I know I'm taking it very literally, but KWIM?
ETA: Even when DH and I met again years later, we were friends for a few months before we got together. I remember we were just hanging out at my apartment sitting on the couch and it hit me like 'Hmmm... I think I really like this guy.' And then I didn't know how to act around him and was all weird. He admitted later that he liked me for a long time and didn't try anything sooner because one of his friends called 'dibs' on me. Like the last slice of pizza.
