Loving dog in need of a great home
Hi ladies!DH and I are searching for a loving home for a great dog that we found on our street about two weeks ago. If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me! Even if you know someone who is interested out of state, we will drive/take him on a plane to get him to a great, loving home.
Here's information about Dodger, as well as a picture:
Dodger is an extremely loving and loyal dog. The vet said that he is about 3/4 shepherd and 1/4 pit bull. He weighs 42 pounds, and the vet said that he is full grown. He is approximately 18 months old, and he is fairly well trained. He knows commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' 'come,' etc. He's very obedient, doesn't jump on food when you're eating, etc. However, he has been out on the street for about a month (the vet said she could tell from his nails), so he isn't 100% housebroken, and he does need some walking training because he pulls. He has his shots, and he is neutered.
He loves attention and affection, and he warms up to people very quickly. He barks when someone comes around the house, but does not bite and is the biggest sweetheart once he gets to know you.
We do not know how he is around children, as we do not have any. He barks at cats and other dogs.
We have food, bowls, toys, a bed, and other supplies to provide.
January 19 update: We purchased a crate today, so we are beginning the crate training process. He will at least be coming to his new owners at least partially housebroken.
I also just wanted to share a story. My mom fell today (she is ok), and when she did, he let out a little cry, and he got very upset and tried to help her. He is a very, very loyal dog.

I can't take him, cause I already have dogs, but I think it is great that you have taken this dog in and working so hard to find him a great home.
