Besides babysitting (does that count?), my first unpaid job was actually working as a candy striper at North Shore Hospital in Manhasset where I worked mainly in the maternity ward.

I can't believe that now, 15 years later, I'm gonna be one of those patients!

My first paying job... I think I temped the first summer I was eligible to work, mostly as a secretary in offices around LI.

Besides babysitting, when I was 15 and we were living in Kentucky I worked at Dairy Queen for almost a year, until we moved back to NY.

McDonalds at 14 years old. I was determined to buy my own clothes at Wet Seal and Casual Contempo since my mother would not lol. Also, I was determined to get these awesome boots at Wild Pair. Hellllloooooo McDonalds!

I know!!! I am too big for it now...but omg I used to love it there!!! I must have applied to work there like 5 times so I could get a discount. lol They never hired me though...boo! My next job was pottery barn...seriously...what 16 year old wants ANYTHING from pottery barn? lol

I applied there, too! They never hired me either. I didn't even know there were still stores around?? Oh well, I probably wouldn't like it half as much now as I did back then.

You think you're next job was bad- I worked at a bagel store and then a CEMETERY! I took orders for grave openings. Morbid, I know!

I worked for the Town of Hempstead Department of Parks and Recreation. I worked at one their parks by my house. I did office work, cheerleading/kickline coaching, arts and crafts, and a whole lotta other stuff.

I worked there for 9 years!

At 15 I worked summers as a nanny for 3 little girls, I did this for 3 years. I also worked 2 days a week at an orthodontists office as an assistant. i think I started there at 15 or 16 too. I worked at Adventureland one summer too, worst job ever!

Then I worked at Carvel starting a couple of weeks after that.


...I actually had a lot of jobs dealing with ice cream. I'm shocked I'm not huge.

I was in 8th grade and worked at a flower shop. I said I was older (I looked 16). hahah Then I think a bakery.

In early hs, I worked at a Chinese restaruant answering phones, burger place, Mandees, and then started waitressing. I did that throughout high school and college- good money.

I worked at the Glen Cove movie theater for like 3 weeks LOL...then I moved next door to work at the Starbucks.
