MIL & Facebook
My MIL has a tendency to reply to questions posted on my wall when she knows the answers. And she doesnt even know most of the people she's replying to. This happened last week when I put up a status about being back from vacation and someone asked where i went.... MIL answered for me with specific details. It's not the first time she's done it and she did it yesterday to my SIL most recently. It annoys me... and I know she doesn't realize it's not her place to answer questions that don't even pertain to her. Should I write something sarcastic back to her next time like 'Thanks for answering on my behalf'??

Re: MIL & Facebook
if you do that make sure you add and lol at the end, that way she doesnt take you serious and keeps answering, and/or doesnt get offended

Agreed. Fine line between making your point known in a light hearted fashion and straight up embarrassing her on a public forum. Id tread lightly but still say something so she knows its inappropriate.

Re: MIL & Facebook
Sarcasm really doesn't work on the computer. I'd send her a message and just tell her that you'd like to keep more details off the internet just for safety reasons (what MIL wouldn't understand that??) and you're glad she likes facebook and it's so easy to communicate and share with her that way, but to consider your privacy when she's answering others' questions about your life. It should get the point across really quickly without coming across at all b!tchy. My MIL had such a problem with FB that she had to delete her account. She was an addict!!!

No i would speak to her directly. In a nice manner. No need to be mean or sarcastic if she isnt aware she is doing something wrong. I would just tell her 'Oh Mom. One favor im going to ask of you. Please dont respond to stauts questions directedf toward me. I dont always want everyone to know exactly everything im doing'. something like that.
