Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
Cleaning and laundry are split between us. However, I take care of all of the planning, budgeting, grocery shopping, and cooking. If we are having people over, I pretty much take care of all of the prep work.I love to cook, so I don't care. DH and I both work around the same amount. However, I work at home a lot, so I have some flexibility. I also work extra long Mon-Thurs so that I have Friday off to take care of anything that needs to be done around the home.

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
I'm in between. DH does most of the cooking because he loves to cook and I do the cleaning/tidying up because I love to clean. We do the laundry and food shopping together.

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
Since I do not work anymore, I clean everything. DH will leave dishes in the sink. I don't mind it - anything to get out of working for now until I feel 90% better.

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
Very sterotypical- I cook dinner everynight, make DH lunch, bring him breakfast in bed, wash the dishes, do all shopping (food, clothes, etc), do all the cleaning, do his laundry, and do my best to take care of him. I love babying him!!

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
holy crap! I read thru all the replies and I feel horrible! I am like the worst wife ever LMAOI am actually a stereotypical 50's husband
I dont do almost nothing, I come home sit on the couch and DH serves me dinner and drinks.
DH does the cooking, daily cleaning, grocery shopping, dishes, taking care of the cats, driving me around and many many more things. he actually needs to tell me to clear the table cause I wont do it unless he tells me to
I used to do the laundry, but since we moved the washer and drier at the new place are awful so we started sending it out. so now the only thing I do is put away all of it, oh and pick up after DH as he likes to leave his clothing all over (this is the only mess he makes)
and of course I take care of the bills and any financial issues
yikes....

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
I do my share of things .. I love to cook and Im very good at it so I enjoy coming home from work and cooking him dinner or waking up on the weekends and making us breakfast ..He's unemployed (freelance writing actually) and he's very domestic. He goes food shopping, vacuum, does the laundry, loads and unloads the dishwasher, takes care of the puppy.
Im very lucky

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
We're both the wife lol.We both cook, clean, he does his laundry and I do mine. The only thing that makes me slightly more the wife then him is that I worry about what's going on for dinner more then him.

Re: Newly Wed Question of the Day
He is the wife as much as I am...I do like to cook but our kitchen is tiny with no counter space and being in there kind of makes me want to smash my face in...so half the time he does it, or we eat something quick that was previously frozen. DH does the laundry and we clean together since we both hate to do it.Probably once we have a house things will be different...I will cook more, we'll both still clean but I'll be more willing to do laundry (right now to get to our washer/dryer you have to go down a flight of stairs, out the front door, around the side of the house, down another flight of stairs and into the basement...its a PITA!).
