***NWQOTD, MONDAY 10/4***

Thanks again to Lila!

One ritual that DH and I have every single day is before we go to bed, we ask each other what the best part of our day was--even on the crappiest of days! We write it down in a journal, and we have three years of 'best parts' to look back on. It's silly, but it's a fun thing for us to look back on.

So, since Mondays are usually pretty slow, here's a two-part question...What was the best part of your yesterday? It can be big or small. Also, do you and your DH have any rituals that the two of you do together?

yesterday was the first day dh and were able to relax alone together! (dhs mom passed away last sat so we've been with family and friends everyday since then)


the only ritual we have is the friday closest to his bday we go into the city to see the xmas tree and to bryant park
we are starting to create traditions so that when we have children we have traditions to pass on to them like my parents did with my siblings and me.

hmm, i didn't really do much yesterday ... oh i know - DH and I made tacos and had taco night while watching episodes of Dexter. It was fun

as for silly rituals, the only thing i can think of is that DH always 'sets up' both of our toothbrushes (eg: puts toothpaste on them) and we brush our teeth simultaneously .... i know, extra stupid, but it's our 'thing'

DH and I don't really have any rituals. Our lives seem to change so much from month to month, I'm wondering if we need to start some so we can keep something constant for once. Haha.

Let's see...my best part of yesterday is a tie. We had study group at the apartment and I always have a lot of fun with the two people in my group. And we had a kick *** lunch which was cool.

But maybe seeing Arcade Fire again last night is way better? Yeah, I'm gonna have to say that definitely wins out.

my favorite part of the day was when I made funny lips to kiss my husband and he thought it was the cutest thing! I didn't realize he would think it's so cute and I felt him truly fall in love with me a bit more after I made funny lips! lol really!
our rituals: we like to watch movies together and feel our baby kick together=)

The best part of our day yesterday was telling our moms and my brother that we are preggo!

No silly rituals really that we do every day ... we do lots of weird funny dances all the time though ... I don't know, we're strange.

we dont have any rituals but i love your journal thing! thats wonderful!
yesterday the 2 best parts of the day were 1. waking up with barely any pain. i have a medical issue where im in pain all the time, so i felt good yesterday! (today's a different story lol)
2. mom cooked us a turkey dinner. we drove out to her house (took us 1 hour) and back and just seeing how happy she was that we came out made it the best part of the day.

spent the day apple/pumpkin picking with my nephew and niece. i looove spending time with them so it was definitely the best part of my day.

We went to see Blaze with our good friend from Cali who was staying with us.


Gym, $ex, and we have a hat full of names of restaurants and we pick one out and then that is where we eat.

Sunday was particularly boring... I cleaned all day then we watched The Blind Side.

I do love the feeling of accomplishment after cleaning - esp our dressers which were covered in junk and dust and now are sparkling!

The best part of my yesterday was watching my sister finish a half marathon in under 2 hours. I am so proud of her!!!!

The only ritual I can really think of is that we always watch Two and a Half Men during dinner and Friends just before bed. Kind of a stupid ritual, but it is the only thing I can think of that we do every single night.

yesterday was sunday so in our house that means sunday dinner...bout 25 people all cramped up eating macaroni lol..but it was nice..and at night dh and i were with my neices and nephew watching ppv wrestling...good night!!

our rituals really is we always always kiss good morning,hello,goodbye goodnight..no matter where we r or if someone goes to bed early always seal it with a smooch

Yesterday was fun. Had the in-laws over for dinner. Made a nice big italian feast

Ummm rituals or traditions????? Other than our annual New Year's Eve and Superbowl parties, I don't really think so.

That is sooo cute that you two do that- what a postive way to go through life! Love it

The best part of yesterday was cuddling in bed with Dino. I always tell him that is my favorite part of the day. We always spend the night hugging and laughing and talking in bed. Cuddles are the best. I love laying with our legs interwined, being silly and laughing. I could stay like that forever. I guess that is our ritual. We try to do it everynight before sleeps.

The best part of yesterday was snuggling with DH in bed in the morning. We are usually on opposite schedules with different days off so it was nice that he was actually off yesterday and we were able to just lounge in bed without one of us rushing to get up and get ready.

We have a couple of small rituals. I call DH on my way into work every morning. He usually leaves the house hours before I do so I call him from the car on my way and we chat. Even if he's busy and the entire conversation consists of 'hi, I have to call you back' we talk every morning. The days he's off and I go to work, I still call him just to 'keep me company' on the drive.

Yesterday I got to play with my nephew. When I get to see either of those little boys they are always the highlight of my day

my dH and I, sing to eachother a lot. Neither of us have good voices at all but we will just bust out singing a love song to eachother out of nowhere. Sounds really stupid but we always crack up when we do it. LOL

best part of yesterday was when we curled up with the cats to watch dexter. we each had a cat laying next to us, so we couldn't lay next to each other, so we reached our hands across and held hands. it was like a little family!

we have a ton of rituals, none of which i can think of at the moment bc i'm too preoccupied with getting back to work. pathetic.

yesterday - saw my niece. i love her to pieces and she always makes me laugh and smile (except when she told me i had a belly !!! damn children and their honestly!!)

ritual - ummm. not really. but once DH's big certification test is over i want to have a better routine. and start going to church together - and brunch. yum yum.
