Depends on what type of things. I mean my husband is great at everything & when it comes to household stuff he knows so much from working with his dad ( he is contractor & carpenter) when he was younger. So if i can help with that kind of stuff i will. Otherwise i stay out of teh way. And if DH thinks its a big job then we get his dad. When it comes to cleaning & that stuff yes we do it together.
